Telegram static sticker size (512 px, PNG or WebP)

Telegram static stickers need one side exactly 512 pixels, a transparent-friendly PNG or WebP, and a file under 512 KB.

  1. Step 1

    Start with a still — or grab one frame

    Drop a PNG, JPG, or WebP. If you drop a video, this preset exports a single frame from the trim, not a loop.

  2. Step 2

    Use the Telegram static preset

    Square crop is on by default (512×512). Turn it off if you want a tall or wide sticker — the longer side stays exactly 512 px.

  3. Step 3

    Keep transparency when you have it

    PNG and WebP both keep a clear background. Photos get a solid frame. Soft edges look cleaner than a hard box.

  4. Step 4

    Download and add it in Telegram

    Open Stickers in Telegram (or @Stickers) and upload the file to a static pack. Stay under 512 KB — Auto prefers the smaller of PNG and WebP.

Tips

  • Telegram also has video and animated sticker types with different rules. This preset is the static (image) path only.
  • One side must be 512 px. Do not letterbox to 512×512 unless you want a square.
  • A simple subject with padding inside the crop reads better in the chat bubble.
