Make a Discord emoji from a video — no upload

Trim a short clip, crop it square, and export a 128×128 GIF or PNG for a custom Discord emoji. The file stays in this browser.

  1. Step 1

    Drop a short clip

    Use an MP4, WebM, or MOV you already have. Keep the source under 50 MB. StickerKit never uploads it.

  2. Step 2

    Pick the Discord emoji preset

    That fills 128×128, PNG or GIF, and a 256 KB guidance budget. Square crop stays on so the face or logo sits in the middle of the slot.

  3. Step 3

    Trim to a beat

    Custom emoji reads better in 2–4 seconds. Drag the range, then drag the square if the subject sits off-center.

  4. Step 4

    Export and add it in Discord

    Download the GIF (or a still PNG). In Discord, open Server Settings → Emoji and upload the file. If Discord rejects it, shorten the trim or stay with PNG.

Tips

  • Discord stickers are a different slot: switch to the 320×320 sticker preset if you want a custom sticker, not an emoji.
  • A looping wave or reaction works better than a full scene. Crop tight.
  • If the file is over 256 KB, Auto will try the smaller format. You can still download a larger file, but Discord may refuse it.
